Health Kick: Greek Berry

So for those of you who don’t know, I’m very interested in nutrition and have been for a long time. I was raised in a very healthy-eating family and have turned out to be quite the healthy eater myself. I’m not saying I’m perfect all the time (if I’m craving cookie dough, I’m gonna go get myself some cookie dough!) but eating your favorite foods isn’t a bad thing if you do it in moderation.

But since this is a ‘nutritious’ blog, here is the perfect healthy snack for less than 200 calories. This is great to eat as a mid-morning snack (you want to consume your dairy from breakfast until lunchtime, not in the evening). This snack consists of 4 ingredients, 3 of which help you burn tummy fat. Greek yogurt, blueberries, and cinnamon are all metabolism boosters and fat busters. Greek yogurt also supplies protein to keep you fuller longer. This Greek yogurt snack is perfect to hold off your hunger until lunch!

Just mix the following ingredients together:

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (130 calories)
Handful of blueberries (62 calories)
1 packet of Stevia (0 calories)
Sprinkle of cinnamon (2 calories)
TOTAL: 194 CALORIES!

I’ll be updating my blog with more healthy snacks/meal options (that will usually be gluten free). So check back for more yummy (and might I add, healthy) recipes if you’re interested!
